Leeds United do not have a lot of time from now till the start of next season. Daniel Farke and his team have a lot to work on in the offseason.

Preparing for Premier League football will be brutal. The gap in quality in the top flight continues to grow each year. All three promoted clubs have gone straight back down in the past two seasons. Leeds will be wary of this as they prepare for their first season back since 2023.

One key thing the club need to address is their attack as they head into the summer. As it stands, there are not many goal threats in the team. Only three players managed double digits in goals, and one was a loan player.

Leeds United deal for Spurs star stalls

Daniel Farke and the recruitment team have work to do to find the right fit for the team. Manor Solomon is the ideal signing, but over the past week, a deal for the 25-year old seems to have stalled. According to Ynet in Israel, the deal between Spurs and Leeds seems to have hit a stumbling block. The report claims both sides are struggling to reach a conclusion.

There is no clear answer as to why a deal has not progressed so far. Especially during this week, after Solomon’s agent Shlomi Ben Ezra made it clear that the player would prefer a move to West Yorkshire:

“It’s difficult to play in another league when you’ve had a taste of the Premier League. Manor is having a great time at Leeds, but he’s under contract with Spurs.

“He likes the Premier League, but in football, you never know… It all depends on what Daniel Levy wants to do. Manor likes English football and he’ll prefer the Premier League… But in football, you never know what might happen.”

Leeds have to make a decision soon

Having transfer sagas drag along never benefits the buying club. Leeds need to make a decision if they feel Spurs are not facilitating talks. The offseason is not lengthy, and Daniel Farke needs all the time possible to gel his team to prepare for Premier League football.

If the Manor Solomon deal does not work out soon, the club need to move on to other targets quickly. Getting new players a full pre season is key to them adapting to the team.
