Leeds United made 10 signings in the summer transfer window, and just seven games into the season you can clearly see that there are some standouts. Fans will be disappointed that the club failed to add marquee names in attack, but the current players have contributed a lot so far.
Anton Stach has been a revelation in this Leeds midfield; the German came in with a reputation of being a defensive minded midfielder, but has been the hub of attack in central areas this season. Sean Longstaff has also worked his way into the team, benching fan favourite Ao Tanaka. Many questioned Daniel Farke signings the midfielder, but he has shown his quality so far.
Gabriel Gudmundsson has also been a solid addition to the backline – aside his own goal against Fulham, he has been outstanding. Some thought Junior Firpo’s absence would have more of an impact, but Gudmundsson has filled the role adequately.

This international break has come at the worst possible time for the Leeds left back. Sweden wrapped up their qualifiers this week with a 1-0 loss to Kosovo. They also lost their last game 2-0 to Switzerland. With two group games left in the UEFA qualifiers, Sweden are all but eliminated from qualifying for the World Cup.
They sit bottom of the group with one point from a possible twelve. The next international break is not one most Swedish players will be looking forward to.
How did Gabriel Gudmundsson fare vs Kosovo
Svenska Fans gave Gudmundsson a 1/5 rating, stating how poor he started the game. Overall it was a very average game for the Leeds United man. He failed to complete a single cross or create a chance.

Defensively, he made one interception and won just two duels during his time on the pitch. He was substituted for the more offensive minded Ken Sema as Sweden looked for something different when they were chasing the game. Gudmundsson was also unlucky as he was part of the defensive line that played the Kosovo attacker onside for the only goal of the game.
