Leeds United are still on their search for a striker ahead of next season. The depth at the position seems a bit thin, and now that the transfer window has opened, they are expected to address it.
Leeds have Joel Piroe, Patrick Bamford, Mateo Joseph and Joe Gelhardt in competition for the position. Piroe is the first choice starter, and there is a huge chance he continues in that role next season. Gelhardt is among three players that Leeds will put up for sale this summer.
Patrick Bamford had previously been linked with a move to newly-promoted Wrexham, but nothing has materialized yet. And according to some reports this week, Mateo Joseph is considering an exit after offers from big European clubs.

Express Sport have revealed that Leeds chiefs are in contact with Hamburg striker Davie Selke. The 30-year old is out of contract at the end of the month, and is already attracting a lot of interest. Selke is keen on playing in the Premier League, with Fulham and West Ham monitoring the situation.
Selke is still in contact with Hamburg over a new deal as they prepare for a return to the Bundesliga. But if his terms are not met, there is a huge chance he makes his way to England.
Selke is built for the Premier League
The German striker scored 22 goals in 31 league games to help Hamburg win promotion. Selke is the prototypical Premier League striker, he stands at 6 ft 5 in and he is very physical.
