Leeds United continued to strengthen their squad last week by completing a £34m deal for Tarik Muharemovic from Sassuolo.
The Bosnia international arrives as Pascal Struijk’s replacement following the defender’s move to Brighton, handing Daniel Farke another strong option in the heart of his back line.
Harry Wilson has also joined on a free transfer to bolster Leeds’ attacking options, while the club remain keen to add a creative midfielder before the Premier League season gets underway.
Recruitment is also underway between the posts. Leeds are actively searching for a new goalkeeper and could yet bring in two before the transfer window shuts.

However, according to The Athletic, Trafford remains the primary target for Newcastle as well.
The Magpies have already signed one goalkeeper and are keen to offload Nick Pope as they look to sign the Manchester City man this summer.
With the England squad back from the World Cup, movement is now expected on the Trafford front as the goalkeeper seeks a new club this summer.
The 49ers are willing to push the financial boat to land the Manchester City man for a deal worth £40m. However, Newcastle’s interest in him is going to be a major hurdle for the Whites.

Leeds United were already in the market for a new goalkeeper before Karl Darlow turned down a contract extension and joined Manchester United on a free transfer.
Lucas Perri had been widely expected to leave Elland Road this summer, but Darlow’s exit has prompted a rethink behind the scenes.
Alex Cairns is not seen as a realistic Premier League option. The veteran has yet to make a senior appearance for Leeds and is currently regarded as the club’s third-choice goalkeeper.
Even if Leeds manage to land their top target, James Trafford, they will still need to sign another goalkeeper before allowing Perri to leave. As a result, the Brazilian’s proposed move to Torino is no longer as straightforward as it once looked.
Unless the Whites can recruit two new goalkeepers before the window closes, Perri is now expected to stay at Elland Road for at least one more season.
