Last summer, Daniel Farke gave the green light for some Leeds United players to leave following their promotion. The German was intent of building a squad for their return to the top flight.
The Leeds boss made some interesting decisions along the way, like leaving Patrick Bamford out and re-integrating Jack Harrison.
It was the same summer window that saw Joe Gelhardt, Mateo Joseph and Largie Ramazani shipped out on loan. All three players barely got any playing time the previous season and decided to try somewhere else.
These were big changes in the attack, but the club eventually avoided relegation last season.
Leeds United star’s move to Premier League rival stalls
Mateo Joseph got a lot of minutes on loan in Spain, but did not have any real impact. He is unlikely to be part of the club’s plans for next season. Largie Ramazani impressed at Valencia on loan.
The Spanish club has assessed the possibility of a deal, but nothing is confirmed as of now.
Joe Gelhardt had arguably the best spell away from Leeds United last season. He was excellent on loan for Hull City as they won promotion by winning the Championship play-offs.
They will be in the Premier League next season.
The Tigers have real interest in keeping Gelhardt around, but per Alan Nixon, a potential move for the forward could be off. This is because the 24-year old will get a pay-rise this summer, which will complicate things for Hull City.
No one has confirmed what exactly has caused this wage rise in his contract, but it is set to affect any future deals.
Per Nixon, Hull could now move on and target more affordable options, as they believe there is serious competition for Joe Gelhardt in the coming months.

Best option is a summer exit
Joe Gelhardt is now currently in the club’s plans moving forward.
The player is in the final year of his deal, and his value is the highest it has been in years. Getting 15 goals last season has boosted his stock, and it is no surprise reports of more suitors have emerged.
Leeds wanted to sell him for £3 to £4 million, last summer, but that fee could easily be doubled in this current window.
The 49ers failing to get a good deal for the forward would mean that they lose him for free when January comes around. The best decision for all parties is a summer exit.
