Following the departure of Glen Kamara to Rennes and Archie Gray to Tottenham, Leeds United are in desperate need of midfielders. With only Ethan Ampadu and Ilia Gruev as the only true midfield options, Daniel Farke’s side will have to find replacements soon as less than a month remains before the summer transfer market shuts its doors.
After identifying Jordan James and Gabriel Sara, Leeds United have recognized another midfielder who can fit the bill into Daniel Farke’s team. According to Craig Trapps, the West Yorkshire outfit are interested in signing Liverpool starlet Bobby Clark on loan.

This was confirmed by The Athletic, as the media outlet claimed that Liverpool is in no rush to decide over the youngster’s future.
“At this stage a loan is deemed more likely with Championship clubs Norwich City, Leeds United, Sheffield United and Coventry City also among his suitors.”

There are reports of strong interest from Austrian Giants Red Bull Salzburg. The Austrian outfit reportedly offered a fee in the region of £6 million. This bid was rejected by The Reds as they expect to sell the 19-year-old for around £12 million.
Bobby Clark’s prospect at Leeds United
The Epsom native missed Liverpool’s US tour due to ongoing back problems. This has led The Reds to reassess Bobby’s place in the first team. Clark is only 19, hence he has a lot to learn before becoming a permanent fit into Arne Slot’s squad.
Bobby is the son of former England U21 international and Premier League footballer Lee Clark. The 19-year-old started his training at Birmingham City when his father was the manager at The Blues. When the family moved back to Northeast England, Clark decided to opt for Newcastle United’s academy.
After seven years at the club, the midfielder decided a move to Liverpool at the age of 16 and has since been a part of The Reds’ youth system. The England U20 international has made 12 appearances for Liverpool’s senior side. Most of these came under Jürgen Klopp whose No.2 Pepijn Lijnders is now interested in the youngster’s services for RB Salzburg.
Bobby Clark can be a great fit at Leeds United. With his creative playmaking abilities, Clark can perfectly fit into Daniel Farke’s system of play. The Championship will also enrich the youth’s experience providing him with an ideal platform for development. Even if the English midfielder comes in on loan, the move can prove to be equally profitable for both sides.
