Leeds United are launching a serious bid as they look to address one of the weaknesses in the squad ahead of the January window.
The Whites made a perfect return from the international break as they beat Swansea away from home. Goals from Manor Solomon, an own goal from Swans defender and a late winner from Wilfried Gnonto were enough to seal all three points in a thrilling win. Leeds fans were unhappy when the club failed to take advantage and move to the top of the table when they lost to Millwall earlier this month. The team did not repeat the same mistake, as they capitalized on Sunderland and Sheffield United dropping points, to move to the top of the Championship.
Daniel Farke can now look forward to the rest of the fixtures to close out the year, as he keeps one eye on the January window.

Leeds United target European star
The club are already looking at a few targets as they seek to strengthen the team to win promotion to the premier League. Daniel Farke has been pursuing an attacking midfielder since the summer, and the club have now shortlisted Manchester City’s James McAtee. The recent performance of Brenden Aaronson has not been great, and despite having a decent start to the campaign, his place in the team is under pressure.
With Junior Firpo set to leave the club next summer when his new deal ends, Leeds are in the market for a left back. FC Nordsjaelland defender Daniel Svensson is the latest name on the list. The 22-year old is among the best fullbacks in the Danish Superliga over the past few seasons. According to Fbref, Svensson has attempted the most crosses in the league this season, and also has the third highest number of interceptions. The Swedish international finished third in assists at club level last year. Svensson was also linked with Liverpool and Juventus recently.
Svensson an ideal signing
Leeds United are being consistent in the type of left back they have targeted recently. It looks like Daniel Farke wants to replace Firpo with similar level players with higher potential. Both Svensson and Cirkin fit the profile of young attack minded fullbacks who can defend off the ball.
