Leeds United could be set for major changes in the transfer window this summer. The squad that won the Championship this weekend could look much different when the Premier League kicks off later this year.
The club is already lining up potential targets. Leeds chairman Paraag Marathe has promised the fans that the Whites will spend to make sure the team can compete in the Premier League:
“Together we are going to build the best squad we can with every penny we are allowed to spend to compete in the Premier League.”
This could mean that Daniel Farke will be backed financially when the window opens.
But in order to not break PSR rules, some players will be moved. Wrexham are said to be big fans of Patrick Bamford and could look to sign him this summer. The 31-year old is the ideal sale this summer considering his wages. With one year left on his current deal, there would be no point in losing him for free. Leeds could move his wages off the books, and earn a few million from the transfer fee.

The reports claim Bamford could be gone this summer, and that his replacement has already been lined up. TEAMtalk believe that Leeds are eyeing a possible move for Jamie Vardy this summer. The 38-year old will leave Leicester City at the end of the season when his contract expires.
There is belief that Vardy would like to continue his career at the top level despite his age. The report claims that the Englishman’s agents are reaching out to other clubs in the Premier League to figure out the next move.
Is a 38-year old Vardy worth the move?
Age will definitely not be an issue with Jamie Vardy. The striker started 33 games this season. He still has some legs under him, and with the right load management, he could last over a whole season.

Even more impressive was the eight goals he scored in the Premier League. For a poor Leicester team, that is an incredible tally. If Leeds do have the resources to consider a move, a short-term deal for Jamie Vardy would not be a bad option.
