Leeds United are set to establish themselves as one of the biggest football brands in Europe with their latest deal.
After the 49ers Enterprises purchased the remaining stake in the club from Andrea Radrizzani, the club has positioned itself for many lucrative deals. Red Bull also bought a minority share in the club earlier this year; part of the deal was to become the front shirt sponsor of Leeds United.
Red Bull have benefited greatly from their deal with the club, they have frequently used the Elland Road stadium for marketing purposes. Adidas also renewed their kit deal with the club, after this season’s away kit sold out and broke a club record.
With the Premier League in sight, it has now been revealed that Leeds United stand to make even more money.

49ers Enterprises acquired full control of Leeds for an estimated £170million. The group also owns NFL franchise San Francisco 49ers. It seems like the aim is to make long term profits from the club.
It has been revealed that, if Leeds United are promoted in the near future, the value of the club could skyrocket. Just over the last year, according to data from Brand Finance, the 49ers Enterprises’ brand value increased by 48% to £1.1billion.
Brand Finance’s latest report shows that 30 out of 32 #NFL teams have grown their #brand values this year, driven by lucrative new TV rights deals and the US’ expanding legalized sports betting landscape.

The group stands to make even more money if Leeds reach the Premier League; that is why they have invested in expanding Elland Road to maximize earnings from tickets. The latest deals with Adidas and Red Bull will also boost the commercial appeal of the club.
49ers could establish multi-club model
Gretar Steinsson was recently moved from his role at Leeds United, to join 49ers Enterprises. The former footballer has changed roles from Technical Director to be a part of 49ers Enterprises’ executive global football structure. The club’s recruitment team will stay largely the same, but with one key member departing.
Moving Steinsson up the ladder, and the recent deal with Red Bull could point to the fact that the 49ers plan on establishing a multi-club model. Leeds United could be the first of many clubs under the umbrella.
Just like with City Football Group and Red Bull, the 49ers could be planning to add more clubs to their portfolio. No one really knows what the aim was when they took over the club, but their plan could become clearer in a few years.
