Leeds United have pieced together another brilliant squad for this season and are again in the mix for Premier League promotion.
With Premier League quality players like Pascal Struijk, Junior Firpo, Ethan Ampadu, Willy Gnonto and Largie Ramazani, Leeds United have a good chance of returning to the Premier League.
Leeds have been brilliant at identifying top talent and developing top stars. However, this comes with a problem of losing these stars to other clubs.
For example, Leeds had to stomach the loss of Crysencio Summerville at the end of last season. After scoring 19 goals in 43 games last year, Summerville was named the Championship Player of the Year for the 2023/24 season but with Leeds unable to secure promotion losing the Play-off Final at Wembley to Southampton, they inevitably lost Summerville to West Ham United.
He wasn’t the only heartbreaking departure at the end of last season, with former Leeds star Archie Gray leaving despite his family dynasty within the club to join Tottenham Hotspurs, and in a devastating turn of events, the fans will now have to watch as controversial Leeds figure Victor Orta tries to snap up Archie Gray.
But this isn’t the only devastating transfer involving an ex player Leeds may have to stomach.

Leeds United fans to have to stomach £67m transfer

If Gray’s potential link up with Orta at his new club Seville is going to be tough for Leeds fans to stomach, then another transfer could be even worse.
We reported earlier that Champions League chasing Chelsea, Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United and Premier League title contenders Arsenal all interested in former Leeds United star Raphinha who is still beloved by Leeds fans.
But making matters worse, reports claim that this interested has prompted Manchester United to up their bid for Raphinha from £42 million to £67 million to secure the deal.
Given the hatred between Leeds and Manchester United, Leeds fans will not like this one bit and it may taint the memory of a player who turned down Liverpool to stay at the club and fend of relegation with a goal on the final day of the 2021/22 season.
What a rubbish bit of reporting. Raphinha wanted to go to Barcelona from Leeds and we obliged. He is now in the form of his life, captaining Barcelona and scoring goals for fun. Barcelona are in the champions league, top of LaLiga having just thumped Real Madrid. Why in gods name would he go to Man U.
