Leeds United continue their fight for safety in the Premier League as they go away from home to face Everton next. Daniel Farke’s side will be buoyed by their narrow win over Fulham at Elland Road recently.
The Whites are not the best team on the road, but their recent record is far better from what it was at the start of the season. David Moyes’ side are also not in the best of shape, winning just two of their last eight games in all competitions. Leeds will come in as the team with a bit of form on their side; the Whites have lost just one game in their last 10 matches in all competitions.

Farke’s side really turned the corner in December, when the team changed tactics and started picking up huge results against the likes of Chelsea and Crystal Palace.
Leeds United star could miss Everton clash
When both teams met in the season opener at Elland Road, it took a late penalty from Lukas Nmecha to seal all three points. On that day, David Moyes and the Everton players were furious that the penalty decision was given in the first place.
Monday night could see Daniel Farke without his key left back Gabriel Gudmundsson. The Swedish international was absent from the inside training video over the weekend. Farke’s last update on the defender was that he sat out training midweek:
”Gabby Gudmundsson has been struggling with adductor problems, we’ve had to leave him out of training today. An important player, hope he is available for Monday night but a little question mark.”
Some positive news for Leeds United as Anton Stach was seen training with the squad ahead of the game. The German had missed the last game against Fulham with a knock.
Who could fill in for Gudmundsson on Monday night?
If Gudmundsson does miss the game against Everton, Leeds United are a bit short on natural replacements. James Justin could deputize, seeing how adept he is on playing on both flanks. But even the former Leicester man could find himself playing if Bogle does not shake off his injury in time. The lack of a natural left footed left back could be a problem when the Whites face Everton on Monday. It could even see Farke playing a wide player out of position to fill the role.
