Wilfried Gnonto has lost his prominence at Leeds United this season and has been reduced to a squad role at Elland Road since the end of last year.
Daniel Farke’s decision to shift to a 5-3-2 formation meant the Italian winger does not have a natural place in a system that is dependent on wing-backs rather than wingers.
He has started just four Premier League games, and the winger has not been in the starting eleven since the end of November, when Farke made the switch in the second half against Manchester City.
Gnonto was heavily linked with a move away from Leeds in Janaury, and there are suggestions that he may not be allowed to leave in the next summer transfer window.

The Italian winger started in the FA Cup win over Norwich City last weekend and looked good on the wings as Farke played a different formation.

The wide man is not exactly happy to be playing a bit-part role at Leeds this season, and has been heavily linked with a move away from Elland Road next summer.
But according to TEAMTalk, Gnonto is still very much appreciated by Farke and is considered an important part of the group at Leeds.
It has been claimed that Leeds have not made a decision on his future, and there is no guarantee that he will be sold in the next transfer window.
The situation is the same with Daniel James, who is struggling with injuries this season. Leeds have not decided on the Welshman’s future as well.
