Leeds United and Burnley were both promoted to the Premier League last week. And now, heading into the final game of the season, both have a chance of winning the Championship.
Leeds and Burnley are currently level on 97 points, but the Whites have a superior goal difference. Which means Daniel Farke’s men need a win to guarantee the league title. If things do go south, all Leeds have to do is match the Clarets’ result. Burnley will host Millwall at Turf Moor, while Leeds will be away to Plymouth.
Ahead of the game, Daniel Farke has told fans that he is eager to lift the title:
”To win the title is something really special. I will try everything to try and win this title. It would be well deserved.”

Leeds take on Plymouth, who have mathematically impossible odds of survival. However, expect the home side to try and sign off the season with a win. Burnley also face Millwall, who need a win and for other results to go their way to make the play offs.
Scott Parker faces a huge problem as he will be without Zian Flemming for Saturday’s clash. The forward is ineligible for the game, as he is currently on loan from Millwall. Burnley have triggered the buy option in the 26-year old’s loan deal, but he will only become an official Clarets player at the end of the season.
Missing Flemming will be a huge worry for Scott Parker, who is also without the club’s main striker Lyle Foster.
Flemming loss a huge blow for Clarets
Burnley have not had many goalscorers this season – the Clarets have scored just 66 goals as a team. Their main striking option Lyle Foster was ruled out for the season over a month ago, and now Flemming will be ineligible to play on Saturday.

The 26-year old is the Clarets’ second top scorer in the Championship this season with 12 goals. In fact, he is the only attacker at the club with more than 10 goals. Scott Parker’s side will sorely miss the Dutchman’s presence up front in a crucial game. Leeds will hope his absence counts in their favour as they chase the league title.

Load of bollocks. Burnley always knew he couldn’t play, we do have alternatives.
