Leeds United will face a major test in the Championship this weekend.
They will go up against a Blackburn side who have a solid home record. Rovers have won five of their eight home games this season. Leeds will have a huge task of their hands after two tricky ties this week. Daniel Farke’s men went to Swansea and took all three points in a close game on Sunday. Leeds then beat Luton Town at home on Wednesday night, and will need to get a result at Ewood Park to stay in contention for promotion.
Farke’s men have been in great form since the start of November, with only one shock result against Millwall ruining an almost perfect run to the international break.

Leeds United sent a warning ahead of the weekend clash
Last season, Leeds beat Blackburn at home in December. John Eustace returned the favour as Rovers beat Daniel Farke’s side at Elland Road in April. Ahead of this Saturday’s game, Eustace and his players have made very bold claims about the match. Midfielder Lewis Travis says Leeds will be a ‘big test’:
“I think Middlesbrough are the team with the best form in the league at the moment. We’ll go and attack that game. We’ve had a break and we want to get that out of our system.
“Leeds are probably one of the best teams in the league and I think it’s good to test ourselves against those sort of sides. We won’t play with fear, we’ll attack both games and see where we’re at.”
Leeds will have Junior Firpo back from suspension for this weekend’s game. The left back has still not shared any news on a possible stay at Elland Road. Aside from that, most of the club’s injury problems remain the same: Isaac Schmidt is yet to recover from his operation, and Ethan Ampadu and Illia Gruev are still out long term with knee injuries.
Can Leeds beat Blackburn?
It will be a huge ask, but the win against Swansea has given the whole club a confidence boost. The 3-0 win over Luton Town was proof of that. Daniel Farke has the team in great form, and Blackburn will have to stop a very impressive team on Saturday.
