Leeds United saw their good form halted at the hands of Bristol City as they drew 0-0 at Ashton Gate. This came after their two wins over Sheffield United – which ended their unbeaten run – and a 2-1 win over Watford.
But the good form came to halt against Bristol City with Daniel Farke’s men unable to break down Bristol City and in turn losing ground on Sunderland at the top of the table, who now lead Leeds and Burnley by 5 points.
After the game, Farke expressed his disappointment saying: “A bit disappointed. We always play to win, not lose. We were motivated for three points. Difficult place. Bristol unbeaten in six, good home side. We did enough to win this difficult away game. Objective data, cannot complain anything. Seventy per cent possession. More xG than them. Gave them no proper chances. Wasteful in front of goal. Stats wise, more or less dominant, good game. Still felt not at our very best.
“After 20 we improved. Circumstances are not the easiest. Third game in eight days. Injuries. Cannot rotate like we might like to. Solid away performance. Normally earns you three points. Wasteful today. Passes were untidy at times. So many good situations.”

Leeds United to solve £5 million problem

Sky Bet Championship Leeds United v Watford Jayden Bogle of Leeds United and Ao Tanaka of Leeds United talk during the Sky Bet Championship match Leeds United vs Watford at Elland Road.
Part of the reason Leeds United struggled were the new losses of Largie Ramazani – who is out for five weeks with an ankle injury – and Junior Firpo through suspension.
When asked about missing the duo, Farke also noted the other absentees he and Leeds are facing:
“Yes we missed Ramazani and Firpo, and Wober, Ampadu and Gruev. Easy to say we win that game with Junior and Largie. Would have preferred to have them, but we did have many players out there who could and should have scored. Sometimes we could be more efficient.”
And the problems keep coming for Leeds, with Jayden Bogle now heading to the sidelines with a suspension for a fifth yellow card. On this Farke said:
“Big miss. Difficult years for him with Sheff Utd. When you lose games and suffered relegation, he arrived without playing much, but last weeks he has stepped up a lot. It’s the Championship.
“Firpo comes back and we have solutions going forward. Have to adapt.”
But what are these solutions for the absence of the £5 million star. Can he play both Sam Byram and Firpo?
