Leeds United in pole position to sign former Liverpool ace

Leeds United have been the hub of a lot of transfer stories as of late, but it may just be the tip of the iceberg at Elland Road.

The West Yorkshire giants are set to announce the signing of free agent Josuha Guilavogui. The seven time France international is a legend at VfL Wolfsburg after playing 250 games for the club and being named club captain and also has experience playing for Spanish giant Atletico Madrid in La Liga.

His last club was Mainz and after his contract expired with them at the end of the year, he has been a free agent and Leeds are set to unveil him as their latest signing to halt their midfield problems.

On top of that, they may also still make a move for Francis Coquelin. The former Arsenal midfielder is also a free agent and the club have reportedly made contact with the former La Liga maestro.

Meanwhile, Leeds have also been linked with a move for Liverpool Ace Tyler Morton, though this could only take place in January.

But there is another of Klopp’s Kids who could be on Leeds United’s radar.

Former Liverpool ace pursued by Leeds United

Glasgow, Scotland, 26th February 2023. Celtic captain Callum McGregor and Ryan Kent of Rangers during the The Scottish League Cup match at Hampden Park, Glasgow.

According to reports, former Liverpool forward Ryan Kent has emerged back on Leeds United’s radars. Kent made his way through the Liverpool system before starring against them in the Champions League for Rangers.

Now a free agent, he has emerged on the shortlist of a number of clubs including his former side Rangers as well as Leeds United.

However, Leeds United’s hopes of drafting in the attacker have been boosted with reports claiming that Rangers’ interest in Kent has diminished leaving the Whites in pole position to snap Kent up should they wish to bolster their options in the attacking third.

This deal may be even more appealing following the disappointing injury news surrounding Largie Ramazani with the forward limping off against Watford and there being a disappointing update from Daniel Farke about his situation which you can read about here.

This also means that Willy Gnonto will have to step up against Bristol City despite an interesting interaction with Farke on Tuesday which you can read about here.
