Leeds United in talks to sign FA Cup winner

Leeds United have finally sped up their transfers this week. The club kick off their Premier League campaign on Monday night against Everton.

The Whites have moved quickly to add a new striker, with a deal for Dominic Calvert-Lewin in place. Calvert-Lewin joins on a free transfer, bringing much needed depth and quality to the squad.

Leeds are now working on other moves behind the scenes, after Daniel Farke made some complaints about the window.

According to Ben Jacobs, Leeds are finally in advanced talks to sign Leicester City star James Justin. The defender has been heavily linked for weeks, but no movement had been made.

The Whites are now firmly in talks, with reports of a £6million price tag.

Jayden Bogle finally has cover

Seeing Isaac Schmidt play the last two friendlies has shown how important Jayden Bogle is to the team. Bogle missed the last two games with an injury, but Daniel Farke confirmed he would be back in training this week.

With the arrival of James Justin, the right back would finally have decent cover to allow him to rest in some games.

Isaac Schmidt move can be completed

Justin’s arrival could finally allow Isaac Schmidt to leave on loan. Werder Bremen have had an agreement to sign him on loan since last month. But Daniel Farke wanted a replacement first, the German side were worried the deal could collapse. Bremen boss Horst Steffen said he had hope of a few arrivals this week.

“I certainly still hope that one or two transfers will come through,” Steffen told Kicker. “I’ve checked my phone every now and then and thought, ‘Okay, maybe there’s a message,’ but there hasn’t been anything yet. Whether or not there will be a third [incoming transfer], I just don’t know yet.’”

That could include Isaac Schmidt.
