Daniel Farke made a shock change to the Leeds United team that seems to have paid off in the past few weeks. The Whites are now closer than ever to the Premier League.
Leeds took another massive step this weekend as they beat Preston to get closer to automatic promotion. With four games to go till the end of the season, the Whites have their destiny in their own hands. Sheffield United’s slip up means that Farke’s men need at least nine points to reach the Premier League.

Leeds boss Daniel Farke made a big call to drop Illan Meslier for Karl Darlow. Since then, the team have conceded just two goals in their last three games. Meslier had previously been at fault for some goals in crucial games, including the Swansea game, where the club dropped points.
Football Insider is reporting that Leeds could be interested in signing Aaron Ramsdale. With Southampton already relegated, it could make signing the England international much easier. He cost the Saints £25million, but is expected to cost much less this summer.
Is Aaron Ramsdale the best option?
Illan Meslier is not the best keeper around, but he did a decent job in goal. It is time for Leeds to move on, but Aaron Ramsdale is a peculiar choice. This season according to FBref, he ranks near the bottom for clean sheet percentage in the Premier League at just 8.3% – one of the worst tallies among goalkeepers. The Southampton stopper has kept just two clean sheets all season.

There is a reason the English stopper has suffered multiple relegations with different clubs. Leeds will need to revise their transfer plans, and possibly look for a better option. Aaron Ramsdale is not worth the fee that the club will need to pay to sign him either.

I so hope this is a late April fool. He’s no better than Meslier
