Leeds United likely to sack Daniel Farke this weekend with new manager lined up

The Leeds United owners are moving ahead with their plans to replace Daniel Farke at Elland Road as results continue to worry the hierarchy about their survival prospects in the Premier League this season.

Since last week, Brendan Rodgers, Ange Postecoglou and Gary O’Neil have been linked with replacing Farke at Elland Road as the new Leeds United manager.

The 49ers have not made the final decision to sack, but they are close to making it. The flurry of names getting linked with his job suggests the owners are definitely looking at managers.

Farke will be in charge against Chelsea at Elland Road on Wednesday night. However, the 49ers already have a timeline in mind to replace him as Leeds manager.

Leeds United want the Daniel Farke replacement to have a say on their January transfer plans

According to the Guardian, the Leeds board are now close to finalising the sacking of Farke as they seek to bring in a change in the dugout in the coming days.

It has been claimed that Leeds are ready to wield the axe on the Leeds manager if they do not get results in the two home games against Chelsea and Liverpool.

If Leeds lose both games, Farke would definitey get sacked by the weekend as patience is now running thin at Elland Road.

The 49ers do not want to waste any more time and are keen to finalise the appointment of a new manager as soon as they get rid of the current boss.

Leeds want the new manager to have a big say on the club’s plans for the January transfer window, and are aware of its importance.

With Leeds on a four-game losing streak, not many are betting against them losing both home games, which will bring the curtains down on Farke’s time at Leeds.

The new manager will have a say on the January window

With the 49ers seemingly closing in on sacking Farke, it is not hard to assume that they know the manager they want to bring in to replace the German.

They would not want to commit the mistakes they made when Rangers needed a new manager a few months back, and they seemed clueless after sacking Russell Martin.

The timeline the 49ers have ascertained shows work is already being done on the appointment of a new manager, and they are close to lining up someone.

Leeds are also worried about not messing around in the January transfer window, and want the new manager to have time to provide his input on incoming transfers.

The Whites are almost certain to bring in a striker and an attacking midfielder in the winter window. Leeds want the new manager to have his say.

With Chelsea and Liverpool almost certain to beat Leeds, Farke is on the verge of getting sacked at Elland Road in the coming days.

the names mentioned so far for a new manager are not inspiring – none with any great CV of achievement. Farke changed tactics against Man City and it almost worked, so if the performances aginst chelsea and Liverpool show promise then he should stay.
