Leeds United have already began working behind the scenes on transfers. The club have been linked with multiple players since the Championship season ended.
Leeds will lose five players this summer. Joe Rothwell and Manor Solomon will return to their parent clubs, while Sam Byram, Junior Firpo and Josuha Guilavogui are set to leave at the end of their contracts. Firpo has reportedly agreed a deal to return to Spain.
Daniel Farke has been targeting midfielders over the past month. Leeds have been linked to Newcastle’s Sean Longstaff and West Ham star Tomas Soucek. Soucek could leave London this summer as reports claimed Graham Potter is not a fan of him. No official bid has been made, but there is interest in the 30-year old as the summer window approaches.

Now, it looks like the Whites are interested in a double swoop from West Ham. Talksport are reporting that Leeds are very interested in signing Vladimir Coufal. The Hammers star will be available for free this summer, after the club announced they will not be retaining him this summer.
The 32-year old has had a decent career in the Premier League since arriving in 2020, making over a 140 appearances for the Hammers.
Coufal’s former coach David Moyes, who is now in charge at Everton, is also seriously interested in a move for the 32-year old.
Vladimir Coufal on a free transfer is good business
Aaron Wan Bissaka’s arrival this season meant that Coufal was the back up option for West Ham. But the Czech international had an outstanding season last year.

He managed seven assists in the Premier League, and was a consistent performer down the right. Coufal has shown his versatility this season too – playing as a wingback, and sometimes on the right of a back three. A free transfer with all of this attributes is the type of quality Leeds United need.
When the summer window opens, Leeds could be left with just two first team fullbacks. The club need to work on finding options in the market, Coufal fits the bill.
