But that has not changed the clubs plans moving forward. Regardless of the events at the end of the season, the Whites will be looking forward to the transfer window. Leeds are currently in the running to win Premier League promotion. Daniel Farke’s men sit top of the Championship and could seal automatic promotion with five games still to play this season.
Leeds have had a really hard time with the squad for most of the season. Farke has vocally been a fan of smaller squads, but after what has happened this season, he could change his mind. Injuries and absences forced players into different roles and positions this season. This clearly signalled that this team needs quality reinforcements in the summer.

Leeds United’s transfer activity this summer will be key. They will most likely target players who can play in the Premier League, and also have the quality to excel in the Championship.
This week, the Whites have been linked with West Brom’s Grady Diangana. The winger has months left on his contract, and will be a free agent this summer if he does not sign a new deal.
Football Expert David Prutton is a big fan of Diangana being linked with Leeds this summer:

Diangana has four goals and two assists in the Championship this season.

Leeds’ first piece of business this summer could be moving on from Illan Meslier. After sorting the goalkeeping situation, they can focus on other areas in the squad. The attack is an area that needs some quality depth. Diangana is a solid player who can give the team at least 10 goal contributions every season. Daniel Farke could also use a player who has some creativity down the flanks.
