Leeds United are already in the Premier League next season. This weekend, the club have the opportunity to crown their campaign with the Championship trophy.
They will have to beat Plymouth, who stand in their way. Daniel Farke’s men still have to worry about Burnley, but the Whites’ superior goal difference looks like it will decide the title race. Both teams are on 97 points heading into the weekend. Farke has stated that he would love to end the season with a title:
”[The] Club has never scored 89 goals, never go 60 goal difference. Of course we are desperate to do add more points and of course to win the league. We have achieved something historic.”
”To win the title is something really special. I will try everything to try and win this title. It would be well deserved.”

Going into next season, some questions remain about the suitability of Joel Piroe to lead the line. The striker has been prolific in the Championship, but there are concerns about him adapting to the Premier League.
And this has shown in recent weeks; the Whites were linked with Ipswich Town striker George Hirst. TEAMtalk are now reporting that Leeds are closely monitoring Troy Parrott. The Ireland international has scored 14 goals in the Eredivisie this season. He joined the Dutch side from Tottenham back in 2024.
The report also claims that AZ will be looking for a fee around £21million this summer.
Joel Piroe has competition in Parrott
In Troy Parrott, Leeds are signing a similar profile to Joel Piroe. Both are tall lanky strikers, but the Irishman seems to be more active outside the box.

The 23-year old takes more shots per game than Piroe, which shows how involved he is at getting at the end of moves. Leeds’ attackers would thrive with Parrott, who also has more of a presence in the box.
