Leeds United won four straight games on their way to promotion. They started the streak after a three-game winless run back in late March.
A lot has happened since then. One of the big changes that happened was Daniel Farke choosing to bench Illan Meslier for Karl Darlow. Since the veteran stepped between the sticks, Leeds have conceded just two goals in their last four games. Now, it has been reported that the French stopper could leave in the summer.
Leeds United recorded an emphatic win at Elland Road on Monday. They hammered Stoke City 6-0 in a win the fans will remember for a long time. Joel Piroe netted four goals in a sensational display for the home fans.

Leeds won promotion on Monday and have booked their place in the Premier League. Now, the club are expected to receive some finances as they prepare for life in the top flight. The Whites could receive more than £70-80million for being promoted this summer.
However, Leeds will also lose money. According to Football finance expert Kieran Maguire, winning promotion on Monday saved Premier League clubs £51million.
“When Leicester and Southampton were relegated in 2022/23 and promoted the following season, £102million in parachute payments were saved…these savings have been split between Premier League clubs.
“Should Burnley and Leeds be promoted today, then a further £51m will be saved…this will also be divided between Premier League clubs.” he wrote on his Twitter/X.
Will this affect the club?
Not really, Leeds United still stand to receive in excess of £70million for their promotion. It will be enough to boost their finances as they prepare for a season in the top flight. With Elland Road ticket revenue and TV rights yet to be distributed, Daniel Farke will have enough to make some moves in the transfer market.
