Leeds United boss Daniel Farke continued to show his unhappiness regarding the club’s transfer window so far. Since pre-season, the German has asked for the club to add some needed reinforcements in attack.

The Whites have brought in some new faces, but almost all were second or third choice targets on the shortlist. Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Noah Okafor arrived, with plans of adding a few before the window closes on Monday. Farke urged that the quality in the team will play a big part in whether Leeds are relegated this season:

“Like we all mentioned, we were transparent as a club, we want to try everything to give us the best possible squad.

“Everyone wants to add some more quality players, not just numbers, a bit of what we don’t have. Quality is the best thing to give us the best possible chance. It will be difficult [if we don’t]. We have to try everything to the last hour of the window and then we’ll see what the outcome is and go from there.”

QUIZ: Can you name the team Leeds United signed these players from in the 2000s?

Manor Solomon is a name that brings mixed reactions to Leeds fans. Many of them expected him to join the club permanently after the loan deal, but financial complications stood in the way. Spurs wanted much more than what Leeds wanted to offer. So Solomon has spent the whole off-season away from the pitch. He did not even take part in pre-season with the London club.

According to Miguel Delaney, a deadline day transfer could be in store for the winger. Delaney reports that Leeds and Crystal Palace are interested, and could move for the Spurs player on Monday.

Leeds have not replaced what they lost in attack

This summer alone, the club have seen Largie Ramazani, Patrick Bamford and Mateo Joseph leave. Two players that served as backup for Joel Piroe in the last campaign. The numbers in attack have gone down, so Leeds need to find a way to bring in much needed quality to Elland Road on Monday.
