Leeds United had a smooth transfer window this summer, until a few weeks ago. The club had completed six new signings in a short space of time, and added a seventh later.
But since Lucas Perri has arrived, there has not been much movement in the transfer market. Leeds planned to sign two attackers in the coming weeks. Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz and Feyenoord’s Igor Paixao were the two main names on the list. The Whites felt these two could come into the team and immediately bring quality.
Leeds bid for Paixao, but eventually lost out to Marseille. The prospect of Champions League football proved too much for the club to compete with. And now, it looks like Leeds are set to miss out on Rodrigo Muniz, who has reportedly chosen a move to Italy.

AS Roma boss furious over Leeds United transfer links
AS Roma striker Artem Dobyk is still on Leeds’ radar. He seems to be an alternative if the club fail to land Rodrigo Muniz. The Ukrainian international has been linked with a move to Elland Road, but Roma boss Gian Piero Gasperini has not been happy with the headlines.
“He’s been sidelined for a long time, he’s recovering physically, working hard in training. I read that I don’t like Dovbyk, don’t write that, because I never say that. I like all Roma players while they’re at Roma.” quotes via TMW.
“I’ll give my all to work on them, especially because, as I said, they’re incredibly dedicated; they train really well, and for me that’s already more than enough. You can judge their performances,” Gasperini said.

AS Roma have reportedly not received any formal offers for Dovbyk despite serious interest from other clubs.
This means Leeds have not prepared an offer either. AS Roma have also been linked with Nikola Krstovic, who could be heading to the club to replace Dovbyk. The striker could be available on a deal later this summer.
Leeds need a new striker
Lukas Nmecha and Joel Piroe are two good strikers. However there needs to be enough depth in the position. Nmecha has had injury issues in recent seasons. Which means when he goes down, there is only one option to replace him.
Leeds need to dip into the market to find a new striker, preferably one that can finish off chances at a high rate.
