Leeds United plan huge move for Everton star – could add new signing over next few days

Leeds United have indicated their plans for next season with some of their business so far. One deal has been confirmed over the weekend, with fans looking forward to more signings.

Lukas Nmecha was announced on Sunday; the German will join the club next month when his deal with Wolfsburg expires. He joins on a free, and counts as a home grown player, which is a boost for the club. A deal is also in the works for Jaka Bijol, and the Udinese defender could arrive soon.

Graham Smyth indicated this week that another striker could be signed even after Nmecha’s arrival.

The plan seems to be improving on the current spine of the team. Which means additions at center back, center midfield, center forward and possibly a new goalkeeper. Some are set to be checked off later this window.

Leeds have now been linked with a shock move for Everton defender Michael Keane. The Liverpool Echo report that the West Yorkshire side hold some interest in the 32-year old this summer. Leeds are keen to add some Premier League experience to their backline for next season, and Kean looks like a decent option. No deal has been discussed yet, but the report is one to watch in the coming days.

Michael Keane could bring in some much needed experience

Leeds are set to complete the signing of Jaka Bijol this week, and now have been linked to Michael Keane. If a deal for the Everton man does go through, the club adds another player with Premier League experience who can step in when needed.

Adding another defender will be necessary with the pending departure of Max Wober, who is not part of the club’s plans this summer. Having four options at center back is the ideal setup for the team. Last season saw Ethan Ampadu fill in at the position for multiple games. Now, the midfielder can fully focus on his area of the pitch.
