Leeds United boss Daniel Farke is set to get his wish this week after asking for attacking reinforcements. The German had complained about the lack of options during pre-season games.
Leeds have played most of their games with just Lukas Nmecha and Joel Piroe as the options up top. The club have now agreed a deal with former Everton forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin. If the 28-year old passes his medical, he will become the club’s eighth signing of the summer. Calvert-Lewin is a solid option at this level, and if he is fit, could be a very good outlet.
Farke also made the convincing case that Leeds needed to replace Manor Solomon. The Spurs loanee was crucial last season, as he scored 10 goals and provided 12 assists – and most importantly, scored the winner to clinch the league title.

Leeds’ final pre-season friendly may have brought more benefits than anyone at the club expected. Aside giving the team a good test against an elite European side, the match could have sparked a transfer.
Beren Cross of The Athletic is reporting that Leeds are interested in signing AC Milan forward Noah Okafor. The latest on a potential move is that, there have been no official talks between the clubs. But Leeds see Okafor as a major option they can look to with just weeks left in this transfer window.
The Whites could add two key pieces to the attack by the end of this month.
Okafor would bring much needed quality and depth
Leeds will be entering the 2025/26 season with just Dan James, Jack Harrison, Largie Ramazani and Wilfried Gnonto out wide. This is problematic, as the core were not heavily involved in goalscoring last season outside James and Manor Solomon.
Okafor would be another option, he is a wide player who makes runs in behind and contributes more to goals. His goal tally may be low, but he is a serious attacking threat – something Leeds will need in the Premier League.
