Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has admitted that a major part of the club’s incoming transfer business is done. However, he hinted at the club being active for more additions until the end of the window, given the need to plug a couple of gaps in his squad.
The Whites confirmed the ninth new signing of the summer earlier in the day when they announced the arrival of Noah Okafor from AC Milan. He has joined for a deal worth £18m, and has signed a four-year contract with the club.
Leeds also signed Dominic Calvert-Lewin last week on a free transfer, and Lukas Nmecha, who scored the winner against Everton, was snapped up on another such free transfer deal earlier in the window.
Farke would like to sign one more striker, but that could require a major sale before the end of the window. However, the club remain open to plugging a couple of other holes in their squad before the September 1st transfer deadline.

Leeds United are interested in signing Bournemouth defender James Hill
Leeds are in the market for a defender who can fill in as a full-back, and have been heavily linked with a move for Leicester City’s James Justin this summer.
However, there are question marks over his fitness after he picked up an injury in Leicester’s 2-1 defeat at Preston last weekend.
Leeds have other alternatives on their table, and according to Sky Sports News, the club are interested in signing Bournemouth’s Hill before the end of the window.
The 23-year-old is a centre-back by trade, but can play as a right-back and is being seen as a potential backup to Jayden Bogle this season.
He was a bit-part player at Bournemouth last season and came on as a late substitute in their 4-2 defeat at Liverpool last weekend.
Hill has a year left on his contract, and Bournemouth would be open to offers to sell him before the September 1st transfer deadline.
Leeds are assessing their options, but are seriously considering making a move for Hill and securing his services in a cut-price deal late in the window.
Leeds need a right-back
Bogle’s injury worries ahead of the Everton game exposed one glaring weakness in Farke’s squad – the right-back position.
Isaac Schmidt is the backup, but he wants to leave Leeds this summer and join Werder Bremen, who have an agreement in place to sign him.
The Swiss is also not seen as good enough to play in the Premier League, and Sam Byram’s fitness issues make him an unreliable squad option.
Leeds need a right-back, and it is not a surprise that the club are actively looking to sign a defender with Premier League experience before the end of the window.
