The Whites are confident about swooping in on the winger following a loss in the race for Jesurun Rak-Sakyi. Rowe’s contract is set to expire in a year hence The Canaries might go below their demanded Ā£15 million tag.
Previously Marseille made another bid of Ā£10.3m which was swiftly rejected by Norwich City citing their price tag. The 21-year-old winger is keen on a move to the south of France but United stay stubborn on replacing Crysencio Summerville this summer.
Jonathan Rowe will replace Crysencio Summerville at Elland Road who left for West Ham United this window. The Championship Player of the Season had 31 goal contributions last season.
These types of players will be crucial for The Whites as they’d want to get promoted this season. The 49ers will make a formal bid higher than that of Les Olympiens to secure the winger.
The Whites prepare to outbid Marseille for Jonathan Rowe
Reports suggest that United have already met the player’s representatives where they talked about a potential transfer across the Championship.
Leeds will try and convince the youngster of their promotion project and how he can play a key role in their journey to the Premier League. Rowe can indeed be an important asset for The Whites’ promotion hopes.
The England U21 international requested to be left out of the squad in The Canaries’ loss to Oxford United. Coach Johannes Hoff Thorup talked about the winger at the post-match press conference.
“Jon and I had a meeting this morning. He came to me and said with so many things going on and so much interest, he was maybe not ready to play, not ready to perform. For me it was quite an easy decision to replace him with another guy.”
“Itās all about the team. And on a day like today itās about how we can perform in the best possible way. I cannot go into too many conversations with Jonny on a day like this. We have to solve it on Monday when we are in again.”

The West Yorkshire outfit needs to get this one right. They wouldn’t want to mess it up like they did with Crystal Palace’s Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.
