This time of the season is the absolute worst to pick up injuries and knocks. Leeds United have been unfortunate over the past weeks with player absences.
Heading into last weekend’s game, Leeds had their captain ruled out for the season. Dan James also missed the Preston clash and only returned to training before Friday. Joe Rothwell has also been sidelined for the last couple of games.
On Friday night, Daniel Farke’s men took another big step towards Premier League promotion. Burnley and Sheffield United had won their games earlier in the day, leaving all the pressure on the shoulders of the Whites.

Friday’s win was much like the game against Preston last weekend. The first half decided the game, with Leeds taking a more settled approach in the second half to see out the result. A lovely sequence from the back resulted in Manor Solomon scoring the opener on Friday. Joe Rodon hit a lovely pass to Jayden Bogle, whose cross was met by Solomon in a flowing team move.
Leeds ended up wining the game, but the Spurs loanee pulled up late in the game and had to be subsituted. After the game, Daniel Farke eased concerns as he confirmed that it was just ”some cramps”:
”Solomon had some cramps. I suspect he will also be ready for the [Stoke] game.”
Leeds United face Stoke City on Monday, and know that a result practically guarantees Premier League football.
Manor Solomon has been decisive for the club
When Dan James went down against Middlesbrough, there was a bit of concern. With the Leeds attack misfiring, the Welshman was the only reliable outlet.

Since then Manor Solomon has popped up with crucial goals. His goal and assist against Preston won the game, and on Friday night he repeated the trick.
