Leeds United remain committed to signing a striker this summer to provide more support to Dominic Calvert-Lewin up front next season.
Calvert-Lewin was Leeds’ talisman in the frontline in the 2025/26 campaign, and his 14 Premier League goals played a huge role in securing safety for the Whites.
However, he received little to no support from the other strikers in the squad, and Leeds struggled to score goals when the former Everton man suffered a couple of dips in form.
Leeds are determined to sign a striker who is not only good enough to support Calvert-Lewin, but also replace him in the team if needed at some point next season.

The Whites keep tabs on a striker who had a great World Cup
Leeds have already signed Harry Wilson, who would be expected to add more goals and creativity to the team, and they are keen to bring in an attacking midfielder.
However, signing a striker remains one of their major priorities, especially with Joel Piroe likely to leave Elland Road before the end of the summer transfer window.
According to TeamTalk, Leeds have registered their interest in signing Monaco striker Folarin Balogun in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The club are monitoring the United States international with a view to potentially taking him to Elland Road in the coming weeks.
Balogun had a brilliant World Cup, scoring three goals in four appearances and was part of a major controversy when a red card was overturned for him to feature against Belgium.
Sunderland and Newcastle United have their eyes on him, and he also has suitors in Nottingham Forest, Everton and Fulham.
A product of the Arsenal academy, the forward is believed to be keen on returning to England soon.
Monaco are likely to demand a premium fee if they agree to sell the striker following his World Cup exploits. He has scored 31 goals for the Ligue 1 club in 90 odd appearances.
Leeds need a striker this summer like Folarin Balogun
Calvert-Lewin was brilliant for Leeds last season, and his goals kept them up in their first year back in the Premier League.
However, the former Everton man scored goals in short bursts, rather than consistently hitting the back of the net, and it was a problem for Leeds.
The Whites didn’t have another proven striker to turn to when Calvert-Lewin was suffering those dips in form, and had to persist with him up front.
Leeds need to bring in a striker of Balogun’s quality to not only provide support to the ex-Everton star, but also rest him without the fear of not having a proven forward up front.
