The Leeds United recruitment team are not panicking despite not adding enough attacking firepower to the squad with less than three weeks left in the transfer window. The club are following a plan and do not want to rush into making any decision.
Leeds spent most of the early part of the transfer window reinforcing their defence and midfield after earning promotion to the Premier League at the end of last season. They have spent a shade over £75m this summer, but it has gone into signing four defenders and two midfielders.
Lukas Nmecha has been the only attacking signing at the club this summer, but he arrived on a free transfer early in the window. Leeds have plans to bring in more forwards before the end of the transfer window.
Missing out on Igor Paixao to Marseille was a major blow for Leeds, especially as the club dedicated considerable time and effort into trying to convince the Brazilian winger to move to Elland Road this summer.
However, it has not derailed the club’s transfer plans.
Can you name the team Leeds United sold these players to?

Leeds United make a huge decision after a major transfer blow

Paixao was a top target for Leeds, and the entire Leeds hierarchy, manager Daniel Farke and even new boy Lucas Perri spoke to the player to tilt the scales towards Elland Road.
However, the Brazilian chose Marseille and the option of playing Champions League football, leaving the Whites disappointed.
But according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, the failure to land the winger has not led to any desperate moves from Leeds.
The Leeds recruitment team are keeping calm and are assessing their options carefully. They have no desire to jump to another deal to compensate for missing out on Paixao.
Leeds are only interested in making a move if the player is right and the deal would make financial sense.
They have held talks with Leicester City attacking midfielder Bilal El Khannouss, and are ready to pay the release clause to snare him away from the King Power Stadium.
Leeds are potentially facing competition from Crystal Palace and RB Leipzig in the race for the 21-year-old, who also has suitors in Saudi Arabia.
The striker pursuit shows Leeds’ insistence on signing the right player at the right price
Leeds want to sign a starting number 9 who can lead the line for Leeds in the Premier League, but the club are yet to bring in one.
It has been one of the biggest priorities of the market, but the club are keen to get the right player for the right money in the ongoing window.
Rodrigo Muniz has been the top target, but Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Tottenham are also interested in signing the Fulham striker.
Leeds are also considering a move for Roma’s Artem Dovbyk, and the club have not ruled out signing Everton’s Beto this summer.
Beto no…but any of the other two will be fine
So…what’s the bold decision?
