A couple of weeks ago, the Yorkshire Evening Post suggested Leeds United could recover part of the £11 million they paid Manchester City for Jack Harrison in 2021. However, that might not be the case.
Harrison has made 46 total appearances over the past two seasons while at Everton, scoring four goals and registering three assists. Meanwhile, with Leeds, the winger made 206 total appearances while scoring 34 goals and recording 32 assists.
Harrison was once a fan favorite at Leeds United and is still technically part of the squad, although he’s currently on loan at Everton. Unfortunately, things haven’t been going well for the winger. In his most recent match against Fulham, Liverpool World rated his performance a disappointing 4/10, saying:
“Had a couple of moments without really impacting the first half. Sliced an effort wide in the second period before unsurprisingly being subbed in the 68th minute. Ineffective.”

Transfer expert Graeme Bailey thinks Leeds United will have a tough time finding a new home for Harrison next summer, especially since his permanent move to Everton is now in question.
“Technically Jack Harrison’s due back and we’ll see what happens,” Bailey told LeedsUnited.News. “That will be a little bit of a worry for Leeds as I think we know that even if Dyche finishes the season, he won’t be there next season.
“So will whoever comes in at Everton want Harrison? That might be a bit of a concern for Leeds. It’s not that he’s not a good player, but they were looking on banking on that and hoping that Everton were scratching around to make that permanent and bring in another loan signing in January, but it probably doesn’t look like that’s going to happen now.”
When the loan was made official this past summer, the player made his excitement known
“It’s brilliant to be back,” Harrison told Everton’s official website. “Everton is a great club, there is a fantastic group of lads here and I’m excited to get started again with a full pre-season of training. Last year, I had a lot of enjoyment at the Club. We had to face a lot of adversity but we were able to continue on and have a good season overall.
“There are a lot of reasons for wanting to return to Everton. I think the Club in general – the fans, the staff, the manager, my teammates – everyone made me feel really comfortable right away and that’s somewhere you want to be as a player. It’s a great place to play football.”
