Leeds United are a week away from opening their Premier League campaign against Everton at Elland Road, but Daniel Farke is worried about the state of his squad. He is insistent that without new additions to his attack, the squad are not ready for the hard rigour of the top flight.

Leeds are completely focused on bringing in the attacking reinforcements Farke has been demanding, and work is underway to try and sign a striker, an attacking midfielder and a top winger before the transfer window closes on 1st September.
Signing a striker is believed to be the most important priority for Leeds at the moment, as the manager has indicated that Lukas Nmecha is seen as the replacement for Mateo Joseph and Patrick Bamford, who were squad options last season in the Championship.

Leeds United sent scouts to watch Roma striker Artem Dovbyk against Everton
Serie A giants Roma are in England for their pre-season preparations and beat Everton 1-0 in a friendly at the Hill Dickinson Stadium last weekend.
Artem Dovbyk, who has been linked with a move to the Premier League with Leeds, was in action for Roma, and there was considerable focus on him due to speculation surrounding his future.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via Sport Witness, Leeds scouts were at the Everton stadium to watch Dovbyk play and run the rule over him.
The Whites have made enquiries for the 28-year-old striker, who scored more than 40 goals in the last two seasons, and he is on their shortlist of targets.
Roma coach Gian Piero Gasperini remained coy on the striker’s future over the weekend, but the Serie A giants are keen to move him on this summer.
The Giallorossi are believed to be holding out for a deal worth £30m for him, and recently rejected an offer from Spain for the striker.
Leeds could end up overpaying for a striker
It is clear from Farke’s words that he is not happy that Leeds are potentially going into the season without a striker good enough to lead the line in the Premier League.
