Leeds United are expected to announce the signing of French midfielder Josuha Guilavogui imminently.
Capped seven times by France, the midfielder has starred in both the Bundesliga and La Liga. In Germany, he became a club legend at VfL Wolfsburg playing over 250 games and becoming the club captain.
He also spent time with Spanish giants Atletico Madrid but most recently featured for Mainz in Germany. When his contract expired at the end of last season, the midfielder became a free agent and now Leeds United are set to snap him up to ease their midfield woes.
Daniel Farke has had problems to solve in the middle of the park since captain Ethan Ampadu and Ilia Gruev went down with long term injuries. Though Ao Tanaka and Joe Rothwell have stood up and impressed in recent games, they need reinforcements.
It quickly appeared that Guilavogui would be the man called upon by the club and after being pictured at both the wins over Sheffield United and Watford, lorded journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that the midfielder had agreed a deal with Leeds United.
His arrival at Elland Road is expected to be confirmed officially by the club any day now, and could even be as early as today (October 23rd). It is believed that the Frenchman could even be in the squad as soon as Saturday’s game against Bristol City.

According to reports, Leeds United are expected to agree a deal worth around £1 million with Guilavogui. This is a long way off the contract he had at Wolfsburg which was roughly £50,000 a week.
Instead, it is expected his deal will be roughly in the region of what he was paid at Mainz last year which was around £20,000 a week, in turn this means the deal itself should cost Leeds an estimated £1 million over the course of the seasonn.
However, if he can step into the side and ease the midfield woes Leeds United are enduring and help them return to the Premier League, it will be one of the cheapest and best deals the club have ever done.
