Leeds United fans have been promised a busy summer by club chairman Paraag Marathe. The club are expecting new faces through the doors in the coming weeks.
The Whites will have the adequate resources with a huge transfer budget available. Using it to improve the squad is a whole different topic. Recent reports indicated that Daniel Farke and the recruitment team would target players with Premier League experience. This is why the likes of Sam Johnstone, Callum Wilson and Jamie Vardy have been linked.
But knowing Farke, he will not limit himself to just England.

Leeds United eye Strasbourg midfielder

The Leeds United boss has shown an eye for talent over the last few transfer windows. His knowledge of German football helped him land Illia Gruev and Ao Tanaka in consecutive seasons.
According to L’Equipe, Leeds have sent a £22million bid for Strasbourg midfielder Habib Diarra. The 21-year old is not considered ‘untouchable’ by his club anymore, leaving him open to an exit. Diarra is hugely talented, and has been a standout in France in recent years.
Leeds are reportedly keen on adding the midfielder this summer, but Strasbourg are monitoring the market. The report from L’Equipe hints that clubs from Germany and England are also keen on signing Diarra.
Leeds must not overspend in one area
£22million spent on one position is a tad bit expensive. Especially as Leeds need to spend that money on other areas of the squad. A new goalkeeper is still a priority, and possibly a new striker. With the future of Junior Firpo in the air, there is a chance that the Whites could also need a new fullback.
And all that is before figuring out replacements for outgoing players. A £120million transfer budget looks like a lot, but spend that on four or five players and your budget will be exhausted.
