In the summer transfer window, Leeds United fans complained about a lack of quality signings in attack. The Whites only added three players during the window.

Lukas Nmecha and Dominic Calvert-Lewin arrived on free transfers, while Noah Okafor was the most expensive signing of the window. Many fans were hesitant when the window shut, considering the players they had just signed. Nmecha and Calvert-Lewin had reputations for being injury prone, which is why some around the club had their doubts.

The trio have done decent jobs since they arrived, with the center forward duo of Nmecha and Calvert-Lewin combining for 16 goals all season. Okafor also showed promise in his last few games before picking up an injury.

Whites cannot lose out to Crystal Palace again

In the January window, Leeds United set out to sign Jorgen Strand Larsen, who was at Wolves at the time. The 49ers knew the team needed some firepower for the rest of the season and targeted the Norwegian. However, their offer was not viable for Wolves, who wanted the money up front – Leeds proposed a loan deal with an obligation to buy. So Crystal Palace swooped in and signed Strand Larsen, who has been off to a great start to his career. The Whites must avoid history repeating itself when it comes to Femi Azeez; the 49ers must act fast and sign him as the team needs quality regardless of where they end up playing next season.
