Despite struggling with injuries, Leeds United entered the international break on a high.
Daniel Farke lost key players this summer; Archie Gray, Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter were among the big names that left Elland Road. The club lost the EFL Championship player of the year, and the Leeds Young Player of the year but have managed to give a good account of themselves this season.
Leeds United have been battling injuries throughout the campaign. Daniel Farke lost key duo Ethan Ampadu and Illia Gruev early in the season. Star signing Largie Ramazani also picked up a knock in the past few weeks.
The Whites sit in third place in the championship after 15 games. Leeds are just two points behind Sunderland and Sheffield United who are joint top of the league.

Leeds United receive huge boost with three additions
Ampadu picked up a serious knee injury against Coventry City and has not played since the end of September. Illia Gruev also picked up an injury in the next game against Norwich. Summer signing Largie Ramazani was also injured at the end of October.
There is now positive news, as Daniel Farke is set to welcome three players to first team action. Joe Gelhardt suffered a hip contusion in training in the last week of October and has been absent from their past three matches. The forward could return around the Swansea game.
Largie Ramazani has also stepped up his recovery. The forward posted on his Instagram that he has returned to training in boots. Positive news for the club, as it looks like he will return earlier than the initial six to eight week estimate.
Ethan Ampadu has also returned to working on grass after his knee problem. Daniel Farke even said that the 24-year old is close to a return to fitness:
“It will be a while before he can join us in team training. He’s even a bit ahead of schedule. I’m carefully optimistic he can return to team training a bit earlier. We will see.
“Normally, it would be realistic to be back in training in the middle of December and then available in the beginning of January. It would be nice if he can help us already a bit earlier and sooner because he’s our captain and a versatile player.”
Leeds United will face Swansea City in their first game back after the international break.
