Leeds United have done a tremendous job bringing new signings in over the last few weeks. But the number of exits have been disappointing.

The club know that they will have to offload some players to balance the books, while some other players are just not good enough to play at the Premier League level. Four new faces have arrived at Elland Road so far, with some more being lined up. Sean Longstaff is set to have his medical before he completes his transfer in the next few days.

Players like Illan Meslier, Jack Harrison, Darko Gyabi, Sam Greenwood, and Joe Gelhardt have all been linked with moves away, but no moves have been made for any player.

Harrison arrived this week to join pre-season training.

The 28-year old’s future is up in the air, and he has been tipped to leave this summer. Everton and Burnley hold a strong interest in signing him. Football Insider correspondent Pete O’Rourke has already said that the winger will end up with the Toffees:

“…David Moyes is still looking to bring wingers in.

“I’m sure he [Harrison] remains on that list of players they are considering signing at Everton.

“If they don’t get other potential targets for those winger slots in the team, maybe they will rekindle their interest in signing Jack Harrison.

“…Harrison will probably have to move on this summer as well, in search of regular first-team football.”

Leeds United are almost guaranteed a profit on Harrison’s sale

In a surprising turn of events, it has been revealed that if Leeds do get a fee for Jack Harrison, the club will technically make a profit according to PSR.

Graham Smyth explained in his Inside Elland Road newsletter that if the Whites receive a ”substantial” fee, a profit will be recorded. Harrison joined Leeds for £11m for him in 2021. And with many clubs practicing amortisation of transfer fees across the length of players’ contracts, if Leeds get in ‘upwards of around £3m’, it will count as profit.

Leeds are planning on adding two quality attackers

In Rodrigo Muniz and Igor Paixao, the club are adding serious firepower to the front line. Leeds finally get an attacker capable of leading the line, and Paixao will fill the hole Manor Solomon left.

There could even be a case made that the Brazilian is a better player than the Spurs loanee. 16 league goals and 10 assists in the league is a very impressive tally.
