Leeds United fans have had a mixed week, as the club raised hopes of a huge week. One signing was announced on Sunday, and unfortunately the rest of the week went silent.
After Leeds confirmed the arrival of Lukas Nmecha, there were multiple reports that some more signings would follow. Talks were ongoing between the Whites and foreign clubs as a deal was anticipated.
A flurry of reports from France and Italy raised the fans hopes, but unfortunately the weekdays ended without a new signing.

Leeds United set to complete Jaka Bijol deal

The Whites are still in talks with Strasbourg over a deal for Habib Diarra, but if it falls through, the club have Valentin Atangana on their radar. Reims are open to selling after being relegated from Ligue 1.
Udinese have also been locked in talks with Leeds over a deal for Jaka Bijol. Reports claimed the reason the deal delayed was because the Slovenian international had a wedding. Now, there are multiple reports con£1firming that the 26-year old has finally signed his contract.
Breren Cross gave an update on why the process was stretched out:
“You can consider me shocked, but I think the same goes for a few people at the club too. Nobody anticipated how long the paperwork would drag out.
“Been reassured several times it’s all in hand.”
Calciomercato are reporting that the deal was finalized for a £19millon fee. The club are expected to announce the signing anytime soon.
Bijol has been a standout in Serie A
The defender has been very underrated in Serie A these past few years. There were reports that the reason Leeds were so high on him were for his physicality and ability on the ball.

Bijol is one of the best in the air in Italy, and is phenomenal on the ball. He could become an immediate starter at the club next season.
