Leeds United set to finalize deal for Argentine midfielder

It is the final week of the transfer window, and Leeds United are busy trying to conclude deals. Despite doing most of their business in the middle of the window, these past few weeks have seen them advance talks for some new targets.

Especially as Daniel Farke pushed for more quality in the team’s attack. Monday saw former Leicester City star James Justin join the club on a permanent deal. More moves could be made this week, with Leeds working on two major exits. Largie Ramazani has landed in Spain, with details having been finalized over a season-long loan to Valencia. Isaac Schmidt is also expected to put pen to paper and complete his long-awaited loan to Werder Bremen.

Farke revealed in Thursday’s press conference that a few signings in attack could arrive:

”We have allowed Largie and Isaac to travel for talks with other clubs. Not confirmed yet but we expect this will happen. Minimum focus is to strengthen offence, how realistic, it makes no sense to give you a percentage but we’re looking forward to strengthen offence a bit more. If it’s one or two more we will see, whatever is possible. We want the best possible squad and everyone is working hard.”

According to The Athletic, Leeds are close to finalizing a loan deal to sign Brighton’s Facundo Buonanotte. The attacking midfielder has been told he can leave this summer, with many European clubs after his signature. But the Seagulls have always preferred a loan move that keeps him in England.

Leeds have been pushing for the past few weeks, and could now secure the deal for the Argentine playmaker.

The 20-year old will surely bring a creative spark to the team. Last season he had five goals and two assists in the Premier League on loan at Leicester City.

Good signing, shame it’s only a loan.
