Leeds United set to get major relegation boost as sensational West Ham sack talks emerge

West Ham Leeds United

About a month ago, the Premier League was taking shape and clubs like Leeds United and West Ham knew early that they were in the fight for survival. The Hammers have had a dreadful start to the season.

They even fired their coach before hiring Nuno Espirito Santo, Leeds on the other hand have had their ups and downs but Daniel Farke remains constant. The German was reportedly under pressure of being sacked. But he has turned things around at Elland Road.

The Whites are now on an extraordinary run of games; going unbeaten in their last six in the Premier League. Chelsea and Crystal Palace are some of the clubs Leeds beat in this run. Farke’s new tactics and team selection have been spot on in the last few weeks and have pushed the club to huge results.

Leeds United handed huge boost after West Ham news

The league is at the midpoint of the season, and clubs know where they could end up come the end of the campaign. West Ham continue to sink deeper into the relegation zone; Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are winless in their last nine games in all competitions. This has sparked rumours that the Hammers’ boss could be sacked – they are currently in 18th place in the league table.

TEAMtalk have reported that some members in the West Ham hierarchy want Nuno gone as the results could see the team be relegated at the end of the campaign. Slaven Bilic is one of the names that has been mentioned, but nothing has been confirmed.

More positives for Leeds fans

Everything that can go right is going right for Leeds United; the team is in form and the players are performing. A major boost is the fact that the teams in and around the Whites are playing poorly. So Daniel Farke knows that each point his team collects is a step closer to safety.

January will be key; other sides will be looking to reinforce their squads for the rest of the campaign. This is where the 49ers need to show ambition; because clubs will be willing to splash the cash on players they believe can save their season. Last January, the club made zero moves in the market, but still won the Championship. However, it will be completely different this time around as the Premier League is a different level of quality in terms of the teams involved.
