Last week, Leeds United published their retained list. Clubs across England publish their lists to show which players will leave at the end of the season.
Josuha Guilavogui was the only first team star confirmed to be leaving Elland Road this summer. Leeds have now decided to hold talks with Sam Byram and Junior Firpo over new deals. Getting one player to stay this summer will be a huge boost, as the club could find themselves without a senior option at left back.
However, it is going to be very difficult to keep Junior Firpo after interest from multiple clubs. AC Milan have added the 28-year old to their shortlist this summer.

Leeds United to battle Wrexham for Premier League star

West Ham announced that Aaron Cresswell will depart the club after 11 years at the club. He will be available as a free agent this summer. Reports suggest Wrexham are keen on adding him to their squad as they seek to win promotion to the Premier League next year.
According to Alan Nixon, Leeds are also weighing up an offer for the 35-year old. The problem is that Wrexham are willing to pay more, and make Cresswell a starter, while Daniel Farke sees the defender as a squad player. Nixon also adds that Wrexham’s package will ‘make them more attractive’.
Cresswell offers decent depth
There is not a lot of downside to signing Aaron Cresswell on a free transfer. The only obstacle could be his age, as he turns 36 at the end of the year. Despite that, he is a reliable player. The left back has been a rotation option this season, and has stepped up when called upon.

One huge positive is that he rarely gets injured. Since 2019, he has missed just seven games combined. Over the last year, he has adapted to play different roles in a variety of systems. Cresswell can play as an orthodox left back, a wingback and this season, has played as a center back. Leeds could plug a lot of holes in the squad by signing him this summer.
