Leeds United could be set to make January transfer swoop for striker

Leeds United seem to be at the centre of a hub of transfer stories as of late and they don’t seem to be dying down, especially with claims from the BBC that Leeds should consider letting go one of their forwards.

An interesting claim given the loss of Largie Ramazani recently. After an electric start to the game against Watford at Elland Road last week (22nd October), Ramazani gave Leeds a 1-0 lead after just four minutes. Despite going on to win 2-1, it was a difficult night for Leeds United fans to stomach with Ramazani limping off.

It was immediately confirmed that he would miss the game against Bristol City, a fixture he could have benefited Leeds greatly in given they were unable to score succumbing to a 0-0 draw. Before the game, Daniel Farke was forced to reveal that Ramazani was set to miss four to six weeks with ligament damage in his ankle.

This made the importance of Tottenham Hotspurs loanee Manor Solomon even more important, but now suggestions have been made that Leeds could end the loan in January.

This would therefore mean Leeds United would have to turn to the transfer market for attacking options to provide themselves with the necessary cover.

Leeds United set to sign former Liverpool gem

This news certainly adds fuel to the fire that Leeds United could be interested in Ryan Kent which has long since been rumoured since Kent’s ill-fated time at Fenerbahçe came to an early end.

Now reports from the Sun, MOT Leeds and the Yorkshire Post state that Kent is on the radar of Leeds United as well as League One club Leyton Orient.

Kent came through the ranks at Liverpool before switching over to Scotland to play in Glasgow for Rangers. He would ironically meet his former club shortly after the move in the Champions League, but is now in need of a new club again.

With Solomon a potential exit in the January Transfer Window, a move for Kent could be necessary to ensure Leeds are not left short up front.
