Leeds United set to make transfer swoop for Premier League star

Leeds United have been at the centre of a hub of transfer activity lately especially with players from Premier League clubs.

One of those players is former Liverpool forward Ryan Kent who is a free agent. The former Rangers man is subject to interest from both Leyton Orient and Leeds.

Now he is being tipped to go to Leeds United by a Sky Sports journalist.

Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Dan Bardell said to MOT Leeds United News: “They lost quite a few attacking players over the summer window and they’re lacking some creativity in those areas.

“We have seen how good Georginio Rutter has been at Brighton this season, he’s definitely been a miss. Could Kent be someone who could offset that a little bit?

“He’s good enough to play at the top end of the Championship you would think. It’s going to be a long season and one where I don’t think Leeds have the bodies that they did last season.

“If the wages are right then I think Kent would be a good pick-up for Leeds.”

Leeds have now been linked with Premier League midfielder Lewis O’Brien. He began his career at Huddersfield Town, where he developed a reputation for his work rate, technical ability, and intelligence on the pitch. O’Brien made a significant impact at Huddersfield helping them to the Premier League and to stay there in 2017/18.

In 2022, he joined Nottingham Forest, contributing to their promotion to the Premier League, but is currently plying his trade on loan with MLS side Los Angeles FC. When his loan move experiences, according to TeamTalk, Leeds are prepared to make a move for him.

His loan move expires in December, so Leeds are set to make a move for him in the January transfer window to bolster their hopes of achieving Premier League promotion this season.
