Leeds United will be hoping they can operate freely financially when the summer comes around. The Whites will be hoping there will be enough money to spend on transfers ahead of their return to the Premier League.
Leeds will receive over £100million for being promoted from the Championship. The club’s ownership have also shown their support – stating to fans that they are keen on keeping their top flight status next season.
In January, the club was near the red in PSR. This meant Daniel Farke was not able to add reinforcements mid season. With the rules to continue into the Premier League, Leeds will need to operate carefully. One way the club can raise funds for transfers is through selling players to make a profit.

Mateo Joseph has been a name that has popped up in recent weeks. The youngster was subject to a bid from Real Betis in January, but nothing materialized. Over the past few days, West Ham have also been linked with a move for the 21-year old. The Hammers have the forward on a shortlist as they plan to rebuild this summer.
Reports from Spain suggest Real Betis could return for Mateo Joseph. El Pelotazo have revealed that the La Liga side could return with a £12.75million bid when the transfer window opens.

Joseph currently has three years left on his contract after signing an extension last year.
Mateo Joseph will command a healthy profit
Leeds signed Joseph from Espanyol back in 2022, with a fee of around £1.2million according to AS. He has since slowly made his way to the first team. The forward is now very much a part of the squad. Joseph has played a 1,284 minutes this season – only five first team players have played less.

Because of the depth in the team this season, Joseph has not been able to play much this season. Heading into the Premier League next season, the club will make new signings. And if Betis are offering eight figures, the club can stand to make some profit off of the youngster.
