Leeds United are pushing forward with their transfer plans even though they are still not sure about which division they will be plying their trade next season. The Whites are planning with the Premier League in their thoughts and the club are pressing forward with an attempt to secure a top target for the next transfer window.
Daniel Farke and the Leeds United players are focused on ensuring that they secure automatic promotion in the remaining eight games of the Championship season.
However, the recruitment team at Elland Road are laying down the groundwork for the summer and are plotting with the assumption that they will be in the Premier League in the 2025/26 campaign.
Signing a goalkeeper and forwards are expected to be some of the top priorities for Leeds but the Whites have also been carefully plotting to ensure one of their loan stars in Manor Solomon returns to Elland Road in the summer transfer window.
Leeds United have a firm belief about signing the winger next summer
Solomon’s recent form has been patchy but he has already done enough to win over the hearts and minds of the Leeds faithful since breaking into the starting eleven in December.
Leeds have already made the decision to approach Tottenham to secure a deal to sign him on a permanent contract but they won’t be moving on him until promotion is secured.
Journalist Graeme Bailey is insistent that the managerial turmoil at Tottenham will have no bearing on the winger’s future and they are keen to move him on in the summer.
He stressed Leeds are also sure about getting a deal over the line and are sure Solomon will cut the cord with Tottenham in the next transfer window.
“I don’t believe Ange Postecoglou’s future will matter when it comes to Solomon, he will be allowed to leave”, Bailey told LeedsUnited.News.
“Leeds are keen to do it and firmly believe he will go.”
Solomon’s return to Leeds seems inevitable
The winger has been a joy to watch this season at Elland Road and will end up playing a big role if the Whites get promoted to the Premier League.
Leeds need to be in the top flight if they want to sign the winger and they seem in pole position to ensure automatic promotion in the coming weeks.
Can you name these past and present Leeds United players?
Solomon is happy and settled at Leeds and is playing regular football for a club where he feels loved and admired.
Everton are also interested in the winger but if Leeds are in the Premier League, it seems certain Solomon would opt to return to Elland Road over other options.
