After winning Premier League promotion, Leeds United now have the huge task of identifying signings that could help them survive when they go up. Significant changes could come to the squad when the summer begins.
If you look at some of the recent reports, there are areas of this team that Daniel Farke is set to improve. The first is a new goalkeeper; with Illan Meslier’s current situation at the club, it has been rumoured that the Frenchman will leave before next season. The Whites have also been linked with West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek, who Farke is said to be a big fan of.
Leeds were also recently linked to George Hirst, as they look to add to their depth at center forward.

The Whites have been linked with multiple goalkeepers over the last few weeks. Angus Gunn, Aaron Ramsdale and James Trafford have been rumoured to arrive at Elland Road this summer.
According to journalist Aadam Patel, Leeds are interested in signing Wolves goalkeeper Sam Johnstone. The club are expecting offers for Illan Meslier this summer, and have identified the Englishman as their ideal replacement. Johnstone has Premier League experience, and most importantly, will be relatively cheaper compared to other targets.
Johnstone has only played seven games for Wolves in the league this season.
Is Sam Johnstone the right choice?
Leeds will lose Illan Meslier, and it is probably time the club parted ways with the French keeper. But replacing him with a much older Sam Johnstone is kind of a head scratcher.

The 31-year old has been a back up keeper for a large part of recent seasons. And when he has been in goal, the statistics have not looked impressive. Johnstone has featured in seven Premier league games this season, and has conceded five more goals than expected.
Leeds might have to think carefully before committing to starting Johnstone long term.
