Over the past few weeks there have been reports that Leeds will target two main areas in the upcoming window: goalkeeper and attack. Multiple keepers have been linked with a move to Elland Road, including England duo Aaron Ramsdale and James Trafford.
There have also been questions about Joel Piroe’s suitability to Premier League football. Leeds being linked with George Hirst this week points to the fact that the club could seek to sign competition up top.

Defence is not an area of the pitch that Leeds are expected to improve upon this summer. Joe Rodon, Pascal Struijk and Ethan Ampadu are a solid core to depend on at any level.
However, TEAMtalk are reporting that Leeds have their eye on Nottingham Forest defender Andrew Omobamidele. The 22-year old is currently on loan at Strasbourg in France. The Ligue 1 side have an option to buy which could complicate things for Leeds United.
With the future of Max Wober uncertain, Omobamidele could fit into the role of backup center back.

The Nottingham Forest defender is extremely talented and has shown great potential in his career so far. But as a club looking to stay in the Premier League for a long time, signing an inexperienced young defender is not a good footballing decision.

Since 2020, Omobamidele has played just one season of his career when he has started more than 20 games. This means that he has not really been first choice in his young career. Leeds United risking a huge fee to sign such a player should never be seen as a good option.
