Leeds United spark Crystal Palace unease after latest Oliver Glasner admission

Daniel Farke is training his Leeds United team for Crystal Palace’s visit on Saturday evening. However, Palace boss Oliver Glasner has already revealed his fear of the Whites.

Leeds have picked up five points from their last three Premier League games, which has lifted them out of the relegation zone. They sit 17th in the Premier League.

The Whites have managed to emerge from a poor run of form, which saw them lose six of their seven Premier League games. They are again looking like the resilient side from early in the campaign.

The Leeds boss hopes to see his team continue their improvement this weekend, and Glasner has indicated that he is wary of his team travelling to Elland Road.

Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner makes a claim ahead of Leeds United trip

Crystal Palace are dealing with several injuries at the moment, and their involvement in Europe has further complicated matters for Glasner this season.

They will be in Europa Conference League action tonight, and Leeds will get big clues about Glasner’s team selection on Saturday night from their game later today.

Palace are wary of the Leeds trip, and the manager will probably play his team on Saturday. He insisted that any player who starts against Leeds won’t start tonight.

He pointed out that Palace have already played too many games and Glasner won’t be taking any risks tonight ahead of the Leeds trip.

“We will start with two completely different teams, but of course, the minutes will be shared a little bit if this is possible”, Glasner said in a press conference.

“Maybe you can do it once, but it’s our 27th game now [this season]. No player will start against both KuPs and Leeds.

“I always want to play the best team from the first until the last minute, but this game demands this from us.”

Glasner will play his best team on Saturday

The Palace boss is dealing with several problems. He has already lost a few players to injuries, and his team are involved in multiple competitions.

Daichi Kamada Hamstring injury – Out

Daniel Muñoz Knee injury – Out
Chadi Riad Cruciate knee injury – Out

They sit fifth in the Premier League and should be favourites to beat Leeds, who are 17th in the standings. However, it is clear from Glasner’s words that he is taking the trip to Elland Road very seriously.

He is likely to field a heavily rotated team tonight in Europe and save his best players to start against Leeds on Saturday night.

The league remains Palace’s bread and butter, and they are unlikely to take any chances with their best players tonight in the Europa Conference League.

Leeds will back themselves to get a positive result and beat a vulnerable Palace team, despite the gap between the two sides in the Premier League table.
